REH Project Development has identified a portfolio of 8 hydro power sites with a total capacity of 70MW in the Luapula province of Zambia. These projects will be developed by New Africa Power (NAP), a Mauritian registered project developer. NAP has raised developed funding from Norfund (Norway), responsAbility Renewable Energy Holdings (rAREH) (Switzerland) and Vineyard Investment Holdings (Isle of Man). REH Project Development has been contracted as the project manager for the development. It is intended that these projects will qualify for the proposed Zambian GETFiT renewable energy feed-in tariff programme.
